Why Start a Bike Shop?

We have a huge heart for getting people on bicycles because of how positively they have affected our lives. They have helped us through depression, made us healthier, and helped us find an awesome community. It is our goal to share those things with everyone we can.

What We Do

What We Do: City Cycles builds community through public events, offers quality bicycle repair and provides a hand-selected and tested collection of products from larger brands and cottage companies alike.

City Cycles seeks to empower and strengthen our local community through the medium of cycling. Whether it's hosting the Tour de France kickoff ride with crêpes and mimosas, fixing a flat tire, or organizing one of our half-dozen annual bikepacking trips, our community and the people who form it are the foundation of our business and the reason we get up and go to work every day.

Staff

Carter Newcomb

Co-owner

Carter got his start cycling by pulling a bike out of a dumpster and proceeding to ride all of Route 66 on it (check out the blog about it here). He's originally from Midland, Michigan, but we don't hold that against him. In his free time he enjoys a good book and fly fishing.

Favorite bike: All City Gorilla Monsoon

Caleb Bryan

Co-owner

Caleb got his start cycling after he rode his dad's 90's mtb the length of a marathon, which absolutely reshaped his concept of what could be explored and done via bicycle. He worked as a mechanical engineer for a couple of years, but ultimately decided he wanted to forge his own way and be around a thing he love, bicycles. In his free time he likes to create things and drink coffee and ipa's.
